That Good part 2

Another bumper installment of hip-hop:
all old-school bumpers and new school thumpers

"Hear Scotland-based Lunice indulging his lifelong passion for music of that warm, vibrant golden-age 90s hip-hop aesthetic in ‘Bus Stop Jazz’ – his debut hip-hop release with rapidly up and coming San Francisco rap duo The Jealous Guys, whose Ballad and First Sight have thrust their ‘The Love Mixtape’ high up on Bay Area hip-hop fans’ most-anticipated lists."

Bus Stop Jazz - Lunice & The Jealous Guys

Ballad - The Jealous Guys

"Ballad" by The Jealous Guys from Ayinde bell-stampp on Vimeo.

I don't rep UK hip-hop as often as I should, but here the grime guru Wiley spits verse after verse of murderous rhymes - no chorus', no hooks - just lyrics over a stripped down grime beat (produced by ZDOT)

Roaming - Wiley

Here's J-Live's very first release. He started out as an English teacher before pursuing a career in hip-hop. Having received his first album The Best Part on vinyl for Christmas, my respect for this guy has been refreshed. Well worth buying any - or all - of his records...

Longevity - J-Live

9th Wonder is normally behind the beats, but here he steps in front of the mic under the guise of 9thmatic...and he ain't too shabby!

1000FT (produced by Khrysis) - 9thMatic, Big Remo, & Khrysis
